Animal centre and pet sanctuary insurance
What is public liability insurance for animal centres and sanctuaries?
This policy covers your legal responsibility to visitors at your animal centre or pet sanctuary. It offers peace of mind and a safety net for both you and your visitors if there’s an accident.
What does pet sanctuary insurance cover?
Public liability
Choose between £1m and £5m of public liability cover for animal centres and pet sanctuaries. This protects you against legal expenses and compensation should a member of the public get hurt, or their belongings get damaged on the premises.
An excess of £100 is payable towards any third-party property damage claims.
Employers’ liability insurance
It’s a legal requirement that you have employers’ liability insurance if you employ anyone at your animal centre. This includes full or part-time employees, work experience placements and volunteers. The policy protects you from legal and compensation costs of up to £10m if an employee gets injured.
Public liability cover available
A policy can also cover you for:
