Animal club liability insurance

Up to £5m public liability and £10m employers’ insurance for dog clubs and animal societies.

What is insurance for animal clubs?

Liability insurance is a safety net for animal clubs and animal societies. It protects you if something goes wrong and you’re held responsible – whether it’s a club member, a member of the public, or even an employee or volunteer.

A good policy steps in to cover legal costs if someone gets hurt or compensates them if their personal belongings get damaged.

What does animal and dog club insurance cover?

Up to £5m public liability insurance

This protects you against legal expenses and compensation in case someone gets hurt, or their belongings are damaged while at a club meeting or event.

An excess of £100 applies for any third-party property damage claims.

Member to member cover

This part of the policy looks after the bloodline of your club, your members. If they get hurt or have their personal stuff damaged by another member when taking part in club activities, they’ll be covered as part of your public liability insurance.

Up to £10m employers’ liability insurance

It’s a legal requirement that you must have employers’ liability insurance if you employ anyone as part of your animal club. This includes full- or part-time employees, work experience placements or volunteer work.

Employers’ liability protects you if your employee gets injured while working for your club or society, covering legal fees and compensation claims.

Add extra cover to your policy

– Up to £7,000 cover for club owned equipment and staging lost through fire or theft (at shows, or in secure storage)
